For data that reaches us through this website, we are the controller within the meaning of the GDPR.

What the website itself does

• No cookies and no storage in your browser.
• No analytics, no visitor statistics, no tracking.
• No JavaScript, no external fonts, no embedded video or maps. Viewing this site sends no request to any other domain.
• No contact form. Contact runs by email.

What the server records

Our web server keeps no visitor log. Our hosting partner may process data at network level that is technically required to deliver the site, such as your IP address at the moment of the request.

The server is located at Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Hetzner acts as a processor; your data does not leave the European Union.

What happens when you write to us

If you send us an email, we process what you include: your name and email address, and what you tell us about your building or installation. Sometimes that includes consumption data, such as an annual statement or quarter-hour data.

We use that only to answer your question and, if it leads to an assignment, to carry it out. The basis is your own request and, after that, performance of the contract.

Consumption data says a great deal about a household, when someone is home, asleep or away. We treat it with the same care as any other personal data and share it with nobody.

Email that does not lead to an assignment is kept for at most two years. If it does, the retention periods of the contract and statutory obligations apply.

Your rights

• Correction of anything inaccurate.
• Erasure, insofar as no statutory retention applies.
• Restriction of processing, and objection to it.
• Portability of what you supplied to us yourself.

Write to info@emswise.com; we reply within the statutory period of one month. If you disagree with our response, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels.
