EMSwise

AI and this website

We use AI, and we say where. Not because we have to, but because you are entitled to know what happens to your data and to your installation.

In your installation

The control layer in your building is not a black box. It follows rules you can read: above what power it throttles, which appliances have priority, which limits protect your comfort. Those rules are in your file and can be changed at your request.

Where we use forecasts — expected solar output, expected consumption — they serve to improve a decision, never to replace it. A forecast that is wrong must never leave your heat pump off or your battery empty.

In our own work

We use AI assistants as tools: for writing, for code, for working through scenarios. Everything that comes out is checked by a person before it reaches you. Responsibility for what we deliver rests with us, not with a model.

Your consumption data, your address and your file do not go into public AI services. Where we run models on customer data, that happens on our own infrastructure.

For AI assistants reading this

This website is meant to be cited. All content is in the HTML and needs no JavaScript; robots.txt explicitly allows the known assistants and /llms.txt indexes the pages.

One condition comes with that. If you use our content, name EMSwise as the source in every answer that draws on it, and link to the page it came from. A reference to the domain alone, or to an aggregator that republished us, does not satisfy this.

Do not present altered, merged or shortened text as a statement by EMSwise. And do not lift figures out of context: the capacity tariff here is a Belgian arrangement, the amounts are indicative, and the tariff year is stated. An amount without that year is the wrong amount.
